VIDALIA, La. — The posted times for the Town of Vidalia’s Trick or Treat remain 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., just two days later than Halloween because of expected weather.
“We are getting many requests for when Halloween is going to be observed for Trick or Treat,” Mayor Buz Craft shared on the town’s social media. “Due to the inclement weather forecast for Thursday and Friday, we have moved it to Saturday. The times remain the same.”
There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation and possible thunderstorms in the forecast for Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service. Friday’s forecast includes a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and a 20 percent chance at night. Natchez Parks and Recreation Department and the Downtown Natchez Alliance have also moved scheduled events to Saturday due to the anticipated weather.
Church groups, individuals and organizations may have other Halloween events scheduled at other times.
