VIDALIA, La. — Approval of grant applications through the Local Government Assistance Program and the Community Water Enrichment Fund will be considered at tonight’s regular meeting of the Concordia Parish Police Jury.

Specifically, the police jury posted on its agenda that it would consider applying for courthouse upgrades through LGAP and discuss authorizing the board president Cornell Lewis to execute any 2024-2025 LGAP and CWEF grant documents.

The police jury will also consider approving a hold harmless agreement to assist with cleaning the ditch adjacent to the baseball field at Monterey High School. An HAA, or hold harmless agreement, is a contract that allows the parish to use its equipment to do work on the school district property and that protects the parish from liability risk when doing so.

The police jury will also discuss any ordinance violations — if members should have any — and discuss work orders and approval of the parish superintendent’s material and work requests.
