NATCHEZ — Are you looking for a romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day this year with one special person or a group of single friends? The Natchez Festival of Music has teamed up with beautiful Brandon Hall to present the perfect package for your Friday, Feb. 14, date.

Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with soul-stirring melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and passionate performances that celebrate the power of love. You’ll hear songs made famous by Billie Holiday, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more. Let the music of renowned performers touch your heart and ignite the spark of romance. So in Love promises to be a magical experience that will leave you feeling cherished.
The music has been carefully chosen by vocalist Allison Jenkins and the Tyler Kemp Jazz Trio. Allison studied opera performance at Millsaps College and continued her studies at Boston Conservatory. After graduation, she began writing and performing her own music. With Matthew Magee, she formed the band Wooden Finger and collaborated on several albums. Jenkins has also performed with Ballet Mississippi, Opera Mississippi, and several theatrical productions. Although Allison Jenkins composes her own love songs, on Valentine’s night she will highlight many American standard tunes made famous by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald.
Tyler Kemp is a pianist, collaborator, educator, and music director based in Jackson, Miss. Known for artistry and creativity in a wide range of styles, he is at home in classical, musical theatre, jazz, pop, and worship genres. Kemp maintains an active performance calendar as a soloist and music director throughout the southeast. Tyler just completed his tenth year on the music faculty at Mississippi College, and serves as worship director at Bellwether Church. earned degrees in Piano Performance (B.M. and M.M.) from Mississippi College.
This romantic evening is the annual fund raiser for the Natchez Festival of Music. Experience the adrenaline rush of our dual auction events.
