One-car wreck closes bridge for short time Saturday

NATCHEZ — A one-car rollover accident stopped traffic on the westbound Mississippi River Bridge for a short time on Saturday at approximately 1:45 p.m.

An official with the Vidalia, Louisiana, Police Department said the accident was likely caused by driver error, but the accident is still under investigation.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
