NATCHEZ – Memorial services for Marvin Theodore Gatlin, Sr., 60, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, in Natchez will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John Williams officiating.

Services are under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Marvin was born on March 15, 1964, in New Orleans, the son of Rebecca Speaks Bradley and Bang Gatlin. He was a graduate of Presley High School in New Orleans. Mr. Gatlin was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. Marvin was family-oriented and enjoyed cooking and shooting pool.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darrel E. Gatlin, Sr.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Angela Veronica Spears Gatlin; step-father, James Bradley; two sons, Marvin Gatlin Jr. and Alexander Gatlin; daughter, Monae’ Gatlin; brothers, Kelvin Gatlin, Reginald Gatlin (Tandeka), Kris Gatlin (Shannon), Paul Gatlin (Tracey) and James Gatlin (Candace); sisters, Iris Faye Peaches, Evangelist Dr. Dawn Williams (Rev. Dr. John) and Andrea Edwards, other relatives and friends.
