NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Alzina Duncan, 76, of Baton Rouge, who departed this earthly life on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, in Natchez will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Elery officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home and will continue on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church.
Alzina was born on Dec. 15, 1948, the daughter of Eliza McQuarters Duncan Quinn, David A. Duncan, and Rev. Cicero Quinn, Jr. She graduated from Holy Family Catholic High School in 1966 and Jackson State University in 1970. Alzina received her Master’s in Education from Alcorn State University and was a retired Freshman Counselor at Louisiana State University. Ms. Duncan was a member of King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking and volunteering with the Council on Aging and spending time with family and friends. Alzina was a JSU Tigers fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents: Frank and Sally McQuarters and William and Bertha Duncan.
Alzina’s memories will be forever cherished in the lives of her sisters, Alexine Duncan Jordan and Deloris Quinn Profice; brother, Cicero Quinn III; nephews and nieces, Jeffry Jordan (Kechial), Janelle Jordan Graham, Shaneka Profice Smalls, Tywanda Quinn Watts (Mundrik), Kevin Profice, Alexine Profice and Cicero Quinn IV; great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
