NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Cora Lee Edney, 75, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, in Natchez will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel) with Rev. Josh Whitley officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2024, from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Cora was born on Sept. 17, 1949, in Natchez, the daughter of Mary Edney and Eugene Edney. She was a retired nurse’s aide and bartender.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Cora’s memories will be forever cherished by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Dixon (Darrance); sons, Kevin Arbuthnot (Joyce) and Wilson Edney; brother, Phillip Edney; sister, Peggy Buie (Dunk), other relatives and friends.
