NATCHEZ — Thanks to tracking devices, several valuable items taken during a burglary at a hunting club in Claiborne County on Feb. 15 have been located.
Some stolen equipment, including a Yamaha side-by-side, a Honda four-wheeler, and a trailer, was recovered in Jefferson and Adams County.
Members of the Nine Points Hunting Club in Claiborne County had placed Apple AirTags on the equipment in order to be able to track them.
When the items were stolen, investigators were able to locate them by following the pings that led them to the AirTags. With the exception of the trailer, most of the equipment taken has been recovered.
A witness led authorities to Fredrick Frisby of 6036 Joe Reed Road in Claiborne County, who has been arrested by the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office and charged with the crime.
Claiborne County Sheriff Edwards Goods thanked Jefferson County Sheriff James Bailey and Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten and Adams County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Ruston Cavin, investigator, for their cooperation.
