NATCHEZ — Adams County Christian School’s baseball team delivered an unforgettable performance Friday night, completing a thrilling doubleheader sweep with a remarkable comeback and a dominant shutout victory.
In the first game against Parklane Academy, ACCS found themselves in a tough spot, trailing by eight runs going into the bottom of the 5th inning. But what followed was nothing short of spectacular. The team mounted an incredible rally, scoring nine unanswered runs to take the lead and eventually win 11-10 in extra innings. The offense came alive with clutch hits, and the defense held firm as Parklane’s lead quickly evaporated. ACCS’s pitching staff also stepped up, holding Parklane to just one run in the final innings to seal the comeback victory.
The second game against WCCA was all ACCS from the start. The team shut out their opponents 10-0, with the offense firing on all cylinders. Solid hitting and sharp base running led to a commanding lead, while the pitching staff kept WCCA’s bats quiet, not allowing a single run.
With two dominant wins, Adams County Christian School shows that it has the resilience to come back when down and the power to dominate when ahead. The team is ready to build on its momentum as the season progresses.
