NATCHEZ — Despite the rain and change of location, the third annual Hoofbeats and Pawprints Mardi Paws Parade was a success, drawing more than 50 pets and more than 200 pet lovers.
The inclement weather forced a change from the Bluff across from Smoots to the Event Center at the River View RV Park in Vidalia, Louisiana. The event went on without a hitch, said Kathy Fitch, who along with her husband, Jay Fitch, founded the non-profit Hoofbeats and Pawprints Rescue.
“It was a very good turnout for such a rainy day,” Kathy Fitch said.
