VIDALIA – With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Georgia Allen, who was called home to be with the Lord on Feb. 20, 2025, at the age of 90. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and strength were a source of light to all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Vidalia. A visitation will take place at the church on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to https://everloved.com/life-of/georgia-allen/ in her memory.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Born on Oct. 14, 1934, in Peck, LA, Georgia was the cherished daughter of the late Oscar and Olivia Williams. She was raised with strong values of faith, love, and service and carried these principles throughout her life.
A woman of deep faith, Georgia was an active member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was known for her generosity, compassion, and hospitality. Whether through cooking for others, tending to her garden, reading scripture, or lending a helping hand, Georgia found joy in serving and uplifting those around her.

She is survived by her brother-in- law in heart, Curtis Turner; her loving sister, Marion Smith; her children, Michael Turner, Raphael Turner, and Lisa T. Harper; her grandchildren, Catrina Chatman, Tanner Martin, Jazmin Turner, and Luke Turner; and her great-granddaughters, Dae’ Sha Chatman and Olivia Messer. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, cherished family members, and a host of dear friends who will continue to honor her legacy by living with the same love and faith she so beautifully demonstrated.
Georgia is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Willie “Mack” Allen; her sister, Anna B. Jones; her brothers, Oscar Williams Jr., Roosevelt Price, and Lymon Williams; and her parents, Oscar Williams Sr. and Olivia Williams. Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is now resting in eternal peace.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that Georgia is now in the loving arms of her Savior, watching over us. Her love, faith, and beautiful spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Georgia was a member of Rosewood Chapter of the Eastern Star #65, Heroines of Jericho, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she was a life member of Zeta Delta Chapter in Natchez, The Links, Incorporated and The Krewe of Janus.
