VIDALIA – Funeral services for Charles Edward Green, 70, of Vidalia, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, in Vidalia will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Riley officiating.

Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Charles was born on Dec. 5, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Betty Lee Green and Samuel Hills, Sr. He was retired from Fruit of the Loom Plant. He enjoyed standing out with his friends by the Exxon Station.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lucille G. Armstead, and brothers, Jessie Hills, Samuel Hills, Jr., and Cyrus Green.

Charles’ memories will be forever cherished by his brothers, Ina R. Hills, Wendell Green, and Robert Green; sisters, Jean Predium, Ruth G. Brown, Erma Green, Shelia Promise, Patricia Green, and Bettie M. Green; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
