NATCHEZ – Betty Jean Anders, 94, of Fayette, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Port Gibson MS.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Laird Funeral Home in Natchez. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with Pastor Leon Bullen officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.

Mrs. Anders was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bubber” Anders; parents, Will and Bertha Nevels Brown, and siblings, Molly B. Tanksley, Billy Brown, Randle Brown, and Latham Brown.

Survivors include daughter, Teri A. Wilson (Robert) of Collierville, TN; son, Burt Anders of Fayette; grandchildren, Ashley W. Argo (Tim), Robyn W. Greene (Alex), Julia W. Simpson (Nate), Katie A. Gamberi (Garrett), Eric Anders (Kristen), and Cory Anders; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Betty retired after thirty years as a Program Clerk in the Jefferson County office of the USDA ASCS.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Fayette Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 424, Fayette MS 39069, or to Community Church Fayette, P.O. Box 542, Fayette MS 39069.
