Myrtie was born on Thursday, Dec. 29, 1927, in Crosby, MS, and passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Vidalia, LA. Birthed at her grandparents and growing up in times of the depression and wars, she saw a lot. After graduating from Beechstand, she attended Spencer Business College and received her Bachelor’s Degree. Myrtie spent her life in Natchez for 60 years, left, and retired in St. Joseph, LA. A loving woman, full of grace, has left this world to be with the Lord. Her heart was a wellspring of love for her family, always cherishing the moments spent together. She found joy in the simplest gatherings, where laughter and warmth filled the air. Now, Myrtie has climbed the stairway to heaven, embraced by eternal peace and love. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, love, and family will forever shine, guiding us as we carry her memory.

She is reunited with her husbands, Robert Earl Hunter and Jimmy Dickinson; parents, Clarence Clyde Cavin and Sallie Heberta Ford; and brothers, Jack Cavin and Clarence “Buddy” Cavin, Jr.
