NATCHEZ — A Natchez man has been arrested and charged by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office with possession of child pornography.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said investigators of the ACSO Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant on Thursday at the residence of Brandon L. Butler, 25, on North Palestine Road in Adams County.

Investigators were able to locate evidence of child sexual assault material inside of the residence on devices used and controlled by Butler, Patten said.

“This investigation is still on-going and we expect additional charges to follow,” he said.

Patten said he would not release other details of the case due to the sensitive nature of the crime.
