Witnesses stated they saw Goodwin run over Reid, back up and run over him again. The vehicle was a 2007 GMC Sierra. Trina Michelle Liening, while attempting to stop the vehicle, was also allegedly punched in the face by Goodwin and broke her glasses.

Motive for the incident is unknown, however, Spears said Reid and Liening had been staying with Goodwin at his residence and were beginning to leave when the incident happened.

Deputies arrested Goodwin on Sunday at his residence on Cowan Street in Ferriday without further incident.
