Elizabeth Carr “Betty” Faulkenberry was born on Aug. 23, 1941, in Natchez.
She left this mortal coil on March 10, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
Betty was the mother to Claude H. Faulkenberry III and J. Christopher “Chris” Faulkenberry and a wife to the late C. Hiram Faulkenberry Jr.
She exceeded expectations as a farmer with FC Farms.
She also worked for Concordia Parish School Board in both the library and as a chemical applicator. Betty was also involved with many civic-minded organizations across Mississippi and Louisiana.
She is survived by her twin brother, Firrel DeVann Carr Jr., and wife, Frankie Carr; their four children, Laurie, Firrel, Kristina, and Joanna, as well as their twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John W Faulkenberry; son, Claude H. Faulkenberry III, his sons, Jonathan Carl Faulkenberry and Richard D. Faulkenberry, his wife Heather, and their two children, Delanie and Alex and her son, J. Christopher Faulkenberry (estranged).
She is preceded in death by her mother, Annalo Smith Carr, and father, Firrel DeVan Carr Sr.
She loved her food and dog as much as she loved her family.
Betty was larger than life, full of love,e and could give Elizabeth Taylor a run for her money with drama!
