NATCHEZ — A Natchez police officer has been placed on leave after she was arrested by Adams County Sheriff’s deputies for disorderly conduct and failure to comply with an officer’s orders.
Raven T. Carver, 32, was arrested Tuesday morning by Adams County Sheriff’s deputies after they were called to respond to a domestic violence altercation.
“She is on leave until an internal affairs investigation is completed,” said Caroline Green, Natchez Police Chief. “When you are a police officer, you are bound under rules of conduct to a higher standard. You have to conduct yourself in a way that is beyond reproach. I am sorry that this happened and I am sorry that the deputies were placed in that position. However, we have to take care of the public.”
No other details were available about the incident.
