DALLAS, TX – Funeral services for Bettie Joyce Andrews Brown, 85, of Dallas, TX will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. from the Beckley Heights Church of Christ in Dallas. She will be interred beside her husband on Monday, March 24, at the Laurel Land Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas under the directions of Sacred Funeral Home in Cedar Hill, TX.

Mrs. Brown, the eldest child of Joe, Jr. and Ernestine Rand Andrews, was born in Jefferson, TX, and died in Dallas from injuries sustained from a car wreck.

She served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960 earning an honorable discharge. She also retired from the Dallas Police Department with 29 years of service.

She is survived by her children, Carlos Andrews (Debra) of Natchez; Reginald Brown, Sr. of Windsor, CT; Michael Brown of Jefferson, TX, Gregory Brown (Theresa) and Bettina Brown all of Dallas; three step-children; two sisters, Adella Jackson of Karnack, TX and Bonnie A. Allen (Gene) of Ferriday; one brother, Billy Ray Williams; one aunt, M. A. Andrews both of Jefferson, TX. Also, five grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces, including Genesia Allen of Ferriday and Lisa Abron of Vidalia, and many cousins, extended family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clemmie Brown; her parents; and three sisters, Carolyn Andrews, Maxine Bellard, and Imogene Peek.
