Third person arrested in Vidalia robbery investigation

VIDALIA, La. — Tyrionne Davis, 19, of Natchez has been arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault with a firearm, making the third arrest in a Vidalia Police Department case.

Investigator Sam King of Vidalia Police Department said investigators Robert “TJ” Cross and Delmarcus “DJ” Johnson worked this case and brought it to a close with these arrests. Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted and were “invaluable in effecting these arrests,” he added.

Davis was arrested at VPD on Wednesday.

Two people from Natchez were arrested on Thursday, March 13. The trio reportedly beat and robbed victims while displaying an AR-15-style pistol.

LaJessica Washington, 22, and Archie Pinder Jr., 18, were also arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Their bonds were set at $495,000 each. Davis’s bond is pending a hearing set for Thursday.

Vidalia police reportedly received a call on Sunday, March 10, at approximately 12:46 a.m. from a victim stating three individuals attempted to rob him as he was returning home.

After this robbery attempt, the victim stated the suspects forced him to show them where another person lived. The suspects reportedly made contact with the second victim and beat him while displaying an AR-15-style pistol. The second victim received several injuries from this incident and had items stolen from him in the process.

“These arrests show we won’t tolerate this type of behavior,” said Chief Joey Merrill. “I thank Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten and his deputies for their assistance in making these arrests. This is yet another example of local law enforcement agencies working together to keep our communities safe.”
