Sophia Westbrook Webber reigns as NGC Queen for 2025

Queen Sophia Westbrook Webber will reign over the 2025 Natchez Garden Club Magnolia Festival Royal Court alongside King Ronald Tyler Gregg.

Sophie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ray Webber, III, of Vidalia, Louisiana, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ray Webber, Jr, of Ferriday, Louisiana, the late Gwendolyn Huff Webber of Ferriday, Louisiana, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Huey Richmond of Vidalia, Louisiana. Sophie has a brother, Kyle Craft, a sister-in-law, Lydia Thomas Craft, and a niece, Coco Craft.

Sophie is a 2021 graduate of Cathedral High School. While attending CHS, Sophie served as Junior Class Vice President, Senior Class President, National Honor Society Secretary, and Swim Team Captain. She was voted Junior Homecoming Maid, Senior Homecoming Maid of Honor, Most Admired, and Miss CHS 2021.

Sophie attends Louisiana State University majoring in Landscape Architecture with a minor in Communication Studies. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority where she has served her sisters well while on the Academic, and the Ritual Committees. She served as Vice President of Standards for the Fall semester of 2024. Sophie is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects at LSU, where she has served as Social Media Coordinator. Sophie has recently discovered her ties as a direct descendant of an American Revolutionary Patriot. This discovery has opened the door to her membership with The Daughters of the American Revolution, Fort Miro Chapter.

After many invitations from firms across the country, Sophie is currently working with the Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering Firm, CLH Design in Raleigh, North Carolina. Sophie plans to graduate from LSU in May of 2026.

The Natchez Garden Club’s activities have been a big part of Sophie’s life. She has enjoyed receiving tourists at Magnolia Hall, being a member of Junior Gardeners, designing flower arrangements for Candlelight Dinners, decorating the Christmas tree at Magnolia Hall, lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons at the pool on Ellicott’s Hill, and helping with the NGC Mother’s Day Tea. Sophie has enjoyed being a part of the Natchez Historic Pageant for the past 18 years, beginning with Little Maypole. She was Royal Page in 2010, and continued participating in a variety of roles, including Polka Favor, Big Maypole, Placard Bearer, Showboat Can-Can Dancer, and Polka. Sophie enjoyed being a part of the Royal Court in 2022, and is now honored to represent the Natchez Garden Club as Queen for 2025.
