The ranking, which includes such notable locations as Foley, Alabama, and Dahlonega, Georgia, ranks Natchez  as No. 16 on the list and cites is Southern flavors and riverfront market.

“Perched on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River, Natchez is a town rich in history and Southern hospitality. Its farmers markets are infused with the flavors of the region, offering everything from fresh produce to classic Southern dishes. As you wander through the market, the aroma of homemade pralines and the sight of colorful crafts reflect the town’s diverse cultural heritage,” the ranking says.

The list also goes on to say Natchez captures the “soulful spirit of Mississippi” and offers an affordable housing market for potential homeowners.

Ocean Springs, the only other Mississippi market to make the list, is ranked 10th best and Natchitoches, Louisiana, is ranked 11th.
