NATCHEZ — A man has been arrested in Natchez for burglarizing an unoccupied house in the Duncan Avenue neighborhood on Friday night, while one other suspect is at large.

Natchez Police Chief Cal Green said police arrested Arthur Moore on a burglary charge for taking power tools and possibly other items from a residence on Duncan Avenue overnight between Friday and Saturday.

A second suspect has been identified and more arrests may be forthcoming, Green said.

Green said only one homeowner had made a report.

The house was under renovation and the owner received an alert from their home security system about an open window, she said.

If anyone else had any items stolen or have possible evidence of suspicious activity over the weekend in the neighborhood, they, too, should come forward and make a report.
