NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Porsche Shaunte Lyles-Gray, 47, of Hattiesburg, formerly of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Hattiesburg, will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Willie Clark officiating.
Burial will follow at Rehoboth Church of God in Christ Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Porsche was born on May 24, 1977, in Natchez, the daughter of JoAnn Lyles-Middleton and Thomas Charles Smith. She was a 1995 graduate of Natchez High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Porsche was employed with the Lamar School District. She enjoyed shopping and watching her Philadelphia Eagles.
She was preceded by her father, Thomas Charles Smith; stepfather, Felton Middleton; grandparents, Lamkin and Bessie Lyles, William and Bertha Smith; father and mother-in-law, John and Margaret Gray.
Porsche’s memories will be forever cherished by her husband, Juan Gray; daughters, Marley Gray, Lakin Gray and Peyton Gray, son, Rashad Arbuthnot; step-daughter, Angel Fairley; mother, JoAnn Lyles-Middleton; brothers, Brad Lyles and Kaiser Lyles; sisters, Robin Madison, Tina Shannon and Jamelda Dent; cousin who was like a brother, Cyrus Marsaw; special great aunt, Ann Ross; godmother, Leigh Ester Watkins, other relatives and friends.
