VIDALIA, La. — Clarion Suites Hotel in Vidalia is still for sale after a sale was not finalized during an online auction ending March 25.

Mike Fisher, president of Redfield Group, confirmed that a sale had not been finalized after the auction but that “multiple prospective buyers” are being negotiated with. The top bid on the 103-room full-service Mississippi riverfront hotel at auction was a little over $4 million, Fisher said.

Formerly known as Comfort Suites, the Clarion Suites hotel, owned by Virgil Jackson of Jackson Enterprises Inc., has been a fixture of the Vidalia Riverfront for over a decade.

Redfield Group is assisting with the sale of the property in conjunction with Patrick Gibson of United Country — Southern States Realty. Founded 25 years ago, Redfield Group has conducted auctions in over 40 states and in Mexico, Fisher said.

The hotel was previously listed for sale by Edna Murray of Murray Land & Homes LLC for $7.5 million.

The property is available for preview and inspection by appointment.

Nestled along the Mississippi River, the 103-unit hotel boasts riverfront views and amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, bar and lounge, entertainment and dining areas and conference rooms to attract business and leisure travelers alike. There is also the option to purchase the adjacent 6,600 square foot commercial property that is currently leased as a day spa.
