FAYETTE – Graveside service for Rita Sanders Beesley, 87, who died at her residence in Fayette on Friday, April 11, 2025, will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Fayette City Cemetery in Fayette, with the Rev. Leon Bullen officiating. Services will be under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beesley was born March 2, 1938, to Thomas Jefferson Sr. and Susie Davis Sanders in Fayette. She graduated from Fayette High School. She married Mr. Bennie Beesley and enjoyed being a homemaker for her family.

Mrs. Beesley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Hilda (Donald) Burns, Bonnie (Bilbo) Moffett, and Susie Harrigill, and four brothers, TJ (Betty) Sanders, Gene (Elise) Sanders, Bobby Sanders, and Joe Sanders.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Susie Sanders of McNair, MS, and one brother-in-law, Claude Harrigill of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Fife, Robert Burns, Patrick Sanders, Robert Starnes, Burt Anders, Albert Schwindling. Honorary pallbearer will be Claude Harrigill.
