NATCHEZ — Natchez Police are at the scene of a collision involving a motorcycle and Ford pickup truck at the intersection of John R. Junkin Drive and Canal Street.

The motorcycle driver was moderately injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance. He was “alert and aware,” Police Chief Cal Green said, adding she does not believe the injuries to be life-threatening.

While she did not immediately have details of how the accident happened, Green said police were still on the scene dealing with traffic at 12:50 p.m. and asked drivers to be aware.

“That is a busy and dangerous intersection,” she said.
