The Mississippi River at Natchez on Tuesday rose to 54 feet and is projected to continue rising past 55 feet by Tuesday, April 28, before a slow recession begins.
Silver Street is open to two-way traffic only, with no way through to DA Biglane Street with the water over the roadway.
