VIDALIA – Margie N. Fuqua, 90, of Vidalia, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025.

She was born on May 12, 1934, in Bude, MS, a daughter of the late Julius C. Cotten Sr. and Carleen Smith Cotten.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, James B. Fuqua; parents, Julius Sr. and Carleen Cotten; and sister, Bobbie Alexander.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Fuqua (Pam), Carl Fuqua (Melody), Chuck Fuqua (Leslie Smith), Timothy Fuqua; brother, Julius Cotten Jr. (Carol); grandchildren, Jamie Fuqua, Justin Fuqua, Chad Fuqua (Sarah), Michael Fuqua (Krista), Lindsey Cowan (Cody). Ashley Davis (Larry), Mac Fuqua (Lakota), LeeAnn Case (Noah), Barrett Lackey and Whitney Smith; great-grandchildren, Keely Fuqua, Lawson Davis, Landon Davis (Presleigh), Cole Butler, Paisley Linder, Cloie Young, Paislee Lackey, Laken Davis, Zayden Fuqua, Carson Cowan, Tatum Lackey, Reid Lackey, Parker Fuqua, Riley Fuqua, Ryder Case; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Fuqua, Justin Fuqua, Chad Fuqua, Michael Fuqua, Mac Fuqua, Larry Davis and Barrett Lackey. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawson Davis, Cole Butler, Zayden Fuqua, Carson Cowan, Parker Fuqua and Ryder Case.

Funeral services will be held at Vidalia Church of Christ on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 2 p.m.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until services start.

Family and friends will gather at Vidalia Church of Christ on Thursday, April 24, 2025, starting at 3 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted and can be sent to Vidalia Church of Christ.
