NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Ruth Lee Smith, 67, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in Natchez will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at noon at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel) with Minister Otis Fleming officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cannonsburg under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home chapel.

Ruth was born on April 19, 1957, the daughter of Inez Jackson Smith and Charlie Jones. She received her high school diploma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terrence Lemond Smith; sister, Emma Ware Scott; brother, James Smith; grandmother, Carrie Jackson; and grandfather, Bill Jackson.

Ruth leaves to cherish her memories: son, Vashion Grinell; sisters, Irma Smith Burston; sister-in-law, Shirley Smith; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
