NATCHEZ — Due to a power outage, students at McLaurin Elementary were dismissed at 9:45 a.m.

Natchez Adams School District officials announced that the decision was made to dismiss students and cancel the remainder of the day’s classes due to the anticipated lengthy wait time for power restoration.

Buses were dispatched to help get students home.
