NATCHEZ — One adult and one child have been airlifted to a trauma center and three other children have been transported by ambulance to Merit Health Hospital Natchez after a single-car accident shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday on Foster Mound Road.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said it appears the driver of the black, late-model Nissan Rogue was distracted and lost control of the vehicle. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
“That guardrail — and the Lord — saved their lives,” Patten said of the rail on the bridge on which the accident occurred.
No additional information was available on the condition of those injured.
