On Friday, families joined in kite flying fun on the Natchez Bluff for the kickoff event of the annual Natchez Kite Festival, “Glow With Us.” This weekend brings free community fun, sponsored by the Natchez Convention Center and Pretty Girls with Brains.
The festival encourages participants of all ages to engage in kite-making workshops, enjoy demonstrations and experience the joy of flying kites on the scenic Natchez Bluff.
Saturday’s schedule includes “Fly Me to the Sky” at the Natchez Bluff. Kite making and demonstrations begin at 10 a.m. and continue to noon. Kite flying will begin at 1 p.m. and continue until 6 p.m. Sunday is Free Fly on the Bluff, with open kite flying for all attendees.
