NATCHEZ — As of late Wednesday morning, no changes have been made to the schedule for the 2025 Joe Fortunato-Allen Brown Golf Classic this will take place on Saturday at the Natchez Golf Club at Duncan Park.

Even with the forecast of rain and thunderstorms with the first round Thursday morning and another round of rain and storms, a few of those possibly severe, Thursday afternoon, and even more rain and storms forecast for Friday afternoon ahead of a slow-moving cold front, Freddie Sandel, President of the Miss-Lou Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, said the four-man scramble will go on as scheduled.

“We are still scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. for the morning tee times and 1 p.m. for the afternoon,” Sandel said. “No changes have been made.”

And that’s even after the rough weather that hit the Miss-Lou region first last Monday in the late afternoon, then last Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning, and finally last Friday morning and into the early afternoon.

Even after the front moves through Friday evening, it is for now forecast to stall along the Gulf Coast and there is a chance for showers and a few thunderstorms as far north as just south of Interstate 20 on Saturday.
