NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Rhonda Cheryl Caston, 53, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Natchez, will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Zion Chapel #2 Church with Pastor Clifton Marvel officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Rhonda was born on Sept. 27, 1971, in Natchez, the daughter of Laura Caston and James “Buddy” Oneal. She was a 1989 graduate of North Natchez High School. Rhonda was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Merit Health and various nursing homes. In her spare time, she enjoyed hanging out with her children and grandchildren; watching game shows; and talking to her favorite cousin, Lazonda, and friends, Carmenletha, Tiffany, and Youlanda.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, Sadie Alexander (James) and Van Oneal (Earnestine); niece, Kiana Singleton, and best friend, Debra Wilson Mayes.

Rhonda leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Larry Singleton; parents, Laura L. Caston (Hollis Green); sons, Larry Singleton Jr., Lamarcus Singleton (Iesha), Ty’Darrius Bailey, and Deontaie Bacon; daughter, Octavia Caston; brothers, Jessie James Caston (Theo), Lawrence “Albert” Caston, Hollis “Ray” Caston (Dana), and Paul Swason; sisters, Bernadine Anderson (Joe) and Jennifer Caston and a host of other relatives and friends.
