FERRIDAY, La. — Established in 2013 as a school for math, science and technology, Delta Charter School graduated the Class of 2025 on Friday night.
The night was one of spring’s hottest and muggiest, but family and friends were all smiles as they hooped, hollared, blew horns and celebrated the 37 graduates earning their diplomas.
Delta Charter’s Student of the Year, Sarah Anne Merrill, welcomed family and friends to the graduation ceremony.
Salutatorian Landry Thomas Freeman told his classmates that while graduation Friday was the end of one adventure, it was also the start of another.
Freeman plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and study engineering. He thanks Delta Charter teachers and staff for their work with each student.
“Thank you for bearing with us every day and preparing us for the next chapter of our lives,” Freeman said.
Valedictorian Marlee Alyssa Nelson discussed the challenges students overcame and the bright future ahead for each of her classmates. She plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and major in nursing.
