NATCHEZ – Graveside services for John Douglas Floyd, 77, of Natchez, who passed away on May 17, 2025, will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville, MS, at 2 p.m. under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow.

Visitation services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from noon until 1 p.m. at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel.

John was born on Oct. 13, 1947, in Gloster, MS, to John Davis Floyd and Hazel Mae Metcalfe Floyd.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Davis Floyd and Hazel Mae Metcalfe Floyd; one son, John Wayne Floyd; and one brother, Rev. Gary Floyd.

John leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Lizona Cavin Floyd; one daughter, Delane Floyd Price and husband, Randy; one brother, Travis Floyd and wife, Connie; one sister-in-law, Roe Miller; four grandchildren, Brittany Kennedy and fiancé, Jay Calhoun, Randall Price and wife, Daray; Garrett Floyd and Ryan Price; two great-grandchildren, Owen Currie and John Raylen Floyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
