NATCHEZ — This year’s Fishing with Fathers and Friends is Saturday, June 14, at the Bob M. Dearing State Park in Natchez.
The event, sponsored annually by Ward 4 Natchez Alderman Ben Davis and Natchez Parks and Recreation, runs from 8 a.m. to noon.
Local children and their guardians are invited to join in the fun. Children ages 15 and younger will fish for free. Those 16 and older must have a fishing license, which costs $5. There is no charge for a parent or guardian who is attending with a child.
Bait, fishing rods and fishing buddies will be available. Transportation through Natchez Transit will be available. Meet at the National Guard Armory. The bus will leave at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
