NATCHEZ — Whether your child’s aspirations are in space or they’re just creatively minded or athletically inclined, there are summer camps happening soon all around the Miss-Lou for all personality types.
Adams County Christian School is hosting an arts and crafts camp for ages four to 12 years old that lasts five weeks, beginning June 6. Week one’s theme is focused on animals and nature; week two is Under the Sea; week three is Around the World; Week four is Space Odyssey and Week 5 is Disney Designs. Registration is $75. Also at ACCS this summer is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) camp hosted in partnership with NASA ASTRO CAMP® that lasts from June 23 through 26. The camp is open to fourth through 9th-grade students costs $95 to register early through June 1 or $125 after June 1. Copiah-Lincoln Community College Natchez Campus is again hosting Kids College with a variety of summer camps for different interests such as Tennis, Line Dancing, Charming Creations, Dance and Cheer, Retro Games, Colorful Collaborations and Artistic Avenue. Prices range from $55 to $70 per camp. Concordia Parish 4-H is hosting a free 4-H Summer Day Camp June 10 through 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ferriday Youth Center at 202 Vogt St. The camp activities include arts and crafts, STEM, sports, cooking and more. Cathedral School and musician and educator Alvin Shelby are hosting a Summer Music Camp where students in kindergarten through fifth-grade can learn singing, rhythm instruments, bucket drumming, boom whackers and piano. Concordia Parish Library summer reading program 2025 will host singers and songwriters The Kinders on June 3rd and storyteller Sylvia Davis on June 5. Both activities are free and open to the public. The Vidalia library hosts The Kinders at 10:15 a.m. on June 3 the Ferriday library at 2 p.m. Then on June 5, the Ferriday library hosts Davis first at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Vidalia library at 2 p.m. These programs are co-sponsored by Concordia Bank & Trust Co. and Concordia Parish Library.
Frazier Extended Education and Cultural Enrichment Center will host summer day camps for children in kindergarten through 12th grade beginning June 2. The deadline to register is Friday, May 23. The cost for participation is $60 per week. Campers will be able to explore a variety of exciting classes, including: arts, dance, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Quiz Bowl Competition, volleyball, IXL academic enrichment and gardening.
All activities will be held at the Frazier Extended Education and Cultural Enrichment Center, located at 1445 George F. West Blvd, Natchez, MS 39120.
