NATCHEZ — Despite inclement weather on Memorial Day Monday, the skies cleared long enough for hundreds who gathered to celebrate and honor lost loved ones who protected and served the United States.
As part of the Miss-Lou’s longest running Memorial Day tradition, the crowd walked across the bridge from Vidalia to Natchez and took a brief respite at the old Natchez Visitor Center on Canal Street before continuing on to the National Cemetery.
Leading the charge were Army veterans Ben Tucker and Jeff McClure, who served as co-grand marshals of the parade.
Enjoy these scenes from the festivities.
