NATCHEZ — As scattered thunderstorms continue on Tuesday, fallen trees blocking roads and power outages have been reported.
Over 2,000 customers in Adams County were without power as of 7:30 a.m. Tuesday between Southwest Electric Mississippi Electric Power Association and Entergy. Over 1,500 Entergy customers were out in the city of Natchez.
Trees blocked part of John R. Junkin Drive at Glenwood Drive as well as Devereux Drive at Saint Catherine Street, Lower Woodville Road at the Corrections Department, and John Quitman Boulevard.
Other road hazards are possible and may be cleared as responders and public works crew continue to address the hazards.
Travelers should be aware of potential dangers during their morning commutes and stay clear of fallen power lines.
