NATCHEZ — Law enforcement sources have confirmed the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police are in the air and on the ground near the Providence Road area of Natchez in search of a jail escapee.

The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a potential sighting of one of the jail escapees from the New Orleans jail in the area of Providence Road in Natchez. That sighting has not been confirmed. However, out of an abundance of caution, officials are searching for the person.
