VIDAILA – Funeral services for Charles Paige, 75, of Vidalia, who departed this earthly life on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Natchez, will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Riley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Charles was born June 8, 1949, in Natchez, the son of Carlotta Claiborne and Eddie Lee Lewis. He was a 1967 graduate of Concord High School. He later attended Grambling State University. Charles was a truck driver for F. R. Blankenstein for over 42 years. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the guitar and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mae Ella Paige; daughter, Tonia Paige; brothers, Eddie Ray Lewis and Adrain Lewis; and sisters, Linda Faye Lewis, Barbara Anne Lewis, Mary Anne Phillips, Hannah Claiborne, and Melissa Claiborne.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, LouKisha Jenkins (Malcolm) and Charlis Paige; brothers, John Lee Lewis and Earl Irving; sisters, Beverly Sue Harris (Clarence), Augustine Reed, and Geraldine Lewis; grandchildren, Edward James, Malcolm Jenkins Jr., Latonya Smith, Marcus Smith, and Marlon Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
