BATON ROUGE — Roux 61 Seafood and Grill closed its Baton Rouge restaurant at  8322 Bluebonnet Blvd for the last time on Saturday.

Owner Jason Lees told Baton Rouge reporters that although business was doing well at the location, an opportunity to sell the real estate came open. A non-disclosure agreement with the buyers prevents Lees from saying who is purchasing the property.

Sonny Lees, along with his sons Jason and Brian Lees, opened the original Roux 61 restaurant on U.S. 61 South in Adams County in January 2011, and was the first business to occupy the area of development south of Natchez.

The restaurant continues to be a popular spot for locals and tourists more than 14 years later. No changes to the Natchez business have been announced.

Attempts to reach the owners have not been successful at the time of this post.
