CONCORDIA PARISH, La. — Musicians Brian and Terri Kinder helped Concordia Parish Library kick off its 2025 Summer Reading Program on Tuesday, sponsored by Concordia Band & Trust.
The Kinders sang and invited area children to sing along to songs accompanied by puppets, stuffed animals and other props.
Here is the list of more upcoming shows in Vidalia, Ferriday and Monterey this summer.
Storyteller Sylvia Davis will be at the Ferriday library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Vidalia library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 5.
The Dinosaur Experience, with Martin Wilmott and Family, will be at 10:15 a.m. at the Vidalia library and at 2 p.m. at the Ferriday library on Tuesday, June 10.
Chatty the Mime, featuring mime, magic and juggling – will be at the Ferriday library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Vidalia Library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 12.
Harvey Rabbit, a music variety show, will be at the Vidalia library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Ferriday library at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.
Dorian LaChance, a magical storyteller, will be at the Ferriday Library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Vidalia Library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 19.
Wink Danenberg, a juggler, will be at the Vidalia library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Ferriday library at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24.
Terrance Morgan, hip-hop artist, will be at the Ferriday Library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Vidalia Library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 26.
LSU AgCenter Summer Event will be at the Concordia Bank in Monterey at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, June 30; at the Vidalia Library at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, and at the Ferriday Library at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 3.
Rick Hessler, balloon artist, will be at the Vidalia library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Ferriday Library at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8.
The live alligator man, Gabe Giffin, will be at the Ferriday Library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Vidalia Library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 10.
Steve’s Snaketuary, snakeman, will be at the Ferriday Library at 10:15 a.m. and at the Vidalia Library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 17.
These Summer Reading Guests are co-sponsored by the Concordia Bank & Trust Co. and Concordia Parish Library. All programs are free and open to the public.
