NATCHEZ – It’s official: Octavia Spencer is coming back to the big screen in an “aMAzing” sequel to the cult classic filmed in Natchez.

Spencer starred in the 2019 horror flick Ma, which was filmed in Natchez in 2018 and featured dozens of locals as extras. Spencer worked with director Tate Taylor, who also worked with Spencer on 2011’s The Help, for which she won an Academy Award.

On Wednesday, the Oscar winner, 55, and production company Blumhouse announced Ma is officially getting a sequel in a joint post shared on Instagram.
