NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Mildred Briggs, 86, of Natchez, who passed away on June 10, 2025, will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Morning Pilgrim Church with Minister Edward Brown officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hunt Cemetery in Kirby, MS.

Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez and on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. until the service time at the church.

Mildred, affectionately known as “Mil”, was born on Feb. 22, 1939, in Natchez to Joseph Stewart and Essie Weir.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Briggs; one sister, Dorothy Green; and one brother, Thomas Weir.

“Mil” leaves to cherish her memories three sons: Larry (Dessie) Stewart, Gregory (Amelia) Johnson, and Brian Briggs; one daughter, Denise Johnson; two granddaughters, Brandi and Bridget; one grandson, Gregory Jr.; one great-grandson, Cameron; five sisters and one brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
