NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Doretha G. Woodfork, 89, of Natchez, will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. from Living Word Worship Center, 8 Covington Road, Natchez. A visitation will be held on Tuesday afternoon, from 3 until 6 p.m. at the Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday. She will be interred beside her husband, John Woodfork, at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez with Pastor Dwight Greene officiating.

Mrs. Woodfork, daughter of Jimmie and Susie Watkins Greene, was born in Vidalia and departed this life surrounded by her children at her residence. She was retired from the Concordia Parish School Board for over thirty years as an educator and special education supervisor. She was a member of Living Word Worship Center, where she taught Sunday School and served on the church finance committee.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, and nine siblings: Clifford, Jimmie, Leon, Arthur, Ernestine Greene, Joyce Chocolate, Rosemary Singleton, Ethel Lucas, and Hazel Lorman.

She is survived by her children, John Keith Woodfork (Trishelle) of Lamar, MS, Calvin Woodfork (Sharon) of Southaven, MS, Doris Woodfork and Jacqueline Hawkins (Melton) of Natchez; two brothers, Wendell Greene Sr. of Vidalia and Wilbert Greene (Cynthia) of Los Angeles, CA; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her church family at Living Word.
