NATCHEZ — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three people for stealing a vehicle out of a parking lot in Natchez.
Arrested were Isaiah Davis, 18, from Lorman and two male juveniles who are also from Lorman and who’s names were not released because they are juveniles.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said ACSO responded to a stolen vehicle report on Tuesday, June 17, in the area of Highway 61 North. The vehicle had been taken from a Natchez parking lot overnight between June 16 and June 17, he said.
Deputies quickly located the suspects near the Tractor Supply on Highway 61 North, but after seeing law enforcement, they fled on foot. However, they were apprehended within an hour with assistance from ACSO’s Special Operations Group.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, evidence confirmed their involvement in the theft, Patten said. Davis was charged with felony motor vehicle theft and booked into the Adams County Jail. The two juveniles face the same felony charge and were transported to the Adams County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The case remains under investigation.
