NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Catherine Johnson Pollard, 70, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Natchez, will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at noon at the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. Birdon Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the funeral home from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Catherine was born on Oct. 9, 1954, in Natchez, the daughter of Elouise Seiferth Johnson and Caleb Ray Johnson Sr. She was a 1972 graduate of South Natchez High School and later attended Alcorn State University. She was a manager at Wal-Mart until her retirement. She was a member of the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. In her spare time, Catherine enjoyed cooking, traveling, and listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Jessie Seiferth and Celestine Joel; brother, Jessie Seiferth; and step-son, Cedric Morgan.

Catherine leaves to cherish her memories: spouse, Paul Morgan Sr.; sons, Keith Pollard and Thomas Pollard Jr.; daughter, Nicole Johnson Crockett (Sean); step-sons, Paul Morgan Jr., and Clarence Norman; step-daughter, Charmaine Donald; brothers, Caleb Ray Johnson (Jacqueline) and Billy Ray Johnson (Rhonda); sisters, Celestine Havard (Frank) and Elouise Davis; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two god-children, one aunt, and host of other relatives and friends.
